Matt Wright is a Senior Engineer and Head of Platform Engineering at Rivvit with a primary focus on back-end API architecture and development. Matt brings over 25 years of software engineering experience spanning the manufacturing, telecom, and financial industries, including 17 years in financial services.

Matt was Senior Software Engineer at Grandview Analytics before Rivvit was spun off as an independent company. Matt spent the last 12 years working in Chicago’s proprietary trading industry working in a variety of roles as an infrastructure and quant developer. He has built back-end and trading system infrastructure, as well as full lifecycle trading models from basic research to production trading.

Matt holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MS in Software Engineering from DePaul University.  He lives in Evanston with his wife and two daughters. Matt always cheers for his hometown Northwestern Wildcats, loves coffee, enjoys cooking and new restaurants, and is always planning the next thing to grow in his garden.
